Privacy Policy

FitCounter is a free, offline workout counter created by Dominik Scheucher. This policy explains how the FitCounter mobile app handles information when you use it.

Data collection

FitCounter does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, user accounts, or a remote service that receives your workout activity.

Information stored on your device

Workout settings and presets that you choose to save are stored locally on your device. This information is used only to provide the app's workout and preset features and is not accessible to the developer. You can remove saved presets in the app. Removing the app also removes its locally stored data, subject to your device's operating-system backup and restore behavior.

Device features and permissions

FitCounter uses on-device audio and text-to-speech features for workout cues. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, photos, microphone, health records, or advertising identifier.

Third-party content and links

The app includes licensed fonts, icons, and open-source software. These components do not send personal data to the developer. The credits screen contains links to third-party websites. If you open one of those links, that website's own privacy policy applies.

Children's privacy

FitCounter does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users. The app does not provide social, messaging, advertising, or user-generated-content features.

Security

Because FitCounter does not transmit workout data to the developer, that information remains under the protections provided by your device and operating system. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and backups.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if FitCounter's features or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
